Amy is a Licensed Associate counselor who holds a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. With training in Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Emotion Focused Individual Therapy for Trauma (EFIT), Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Intimacy from the Inside Out (IFIO), and currently pursuing Somatic Experiencing, Amy is well-equipped to address a variety of needs.
Amy utilizes an attachment framework and a trauma-informed lens with all of her clients. She has experience working with teenagers and adults experiencing a wide range of difficulties, including (but not limited to): anxiety, grief, depression, relational difficulties, trauma, and abuse and neglect. Amy is passionate about people building safe and healthy relationships with their bodies, and enjoys working with clients who would like to explore difficulties related to body image, self-esteem, and disordered eating. In addition to her work with individuals, Amy also works with couples on a wide variety of relationship difficulties and enjoys fostering safe spaces for relationships to heal.
