Office Manager & Counselor

Rachel currently maintains several roles within the Gap Relief team.  In addition to being a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)  and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Rachel also serves as Gap Relief’s Office Manager. She is gifted in all things organization and logistics, and utilizes these skills to ensure the Gap Relief organization runs smoothly. 

Rachel has her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy with an emphasis in play therapy. She is currently licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), TFCBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and Eagala Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. Rachel also has training in Child-Centered Play Therapy, Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT), and Sandtray Therapy.

Rachel’s counseling experience includes serving in a community clinic, in school-based settings, and as part of a multi-disciplinary team at a Children’s Advocacy Center. Rachel is passionate about working with individuals, children, youth, and families on a wide-range of difficulties including (but not limited to) grief and loss, attachment and relationship difficulties, trauma recovery, depression, anxiety, sexuality and sexual abuse recovery, and personal resiliency. She is also an experienced trainer and resource developer, and loves the opportunities she has to equip communities with trauma-informed care.
