Ashley Kahlia, MOTR/L, c/NDT
Occupational Therapist
Ashley is a Licensed Occupational Therapist with more than 14 years of experience. She received her Masters of Occupational Therapy from Maryville University in St. Louis, and has worked in various settings both within the United States and Internationally. Ashley’s experience includes seven years of work at pediatric clinics stateside along with seven years of work on-site in Haiti--where she has played an integral role in developing the nation’s Occupational Therapy Association and has fostered the advancement of the field in Haiti through the development of training programs and direct services.
Ashley is trained in MNRI (Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration) with additional training and focus in the areas of traumatic stress and PTSD recovery. Ashley also has training in pelvic floor therapy, interactive metronome, interactive listening system, sensory integration, and the DIR/Floortime (Developmental,Individual Difference, Relationship-based) model. Ashley is a sought-after trainer and is recognized for her innovative thinking and her dedication to her clients and the advancement of trauma-informed care across the globe. Ashley currently serves as an Occupational Therapist for Gap Relief while also continuing to spend the majority of her time overseas as she works to expand access to trauma-informed OT services internationally.
